Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran coach Carlos Queiroz insists his team cannot take Lebanon lightly in its World Cup qualifier in Tehran on Tuesday.

The Persians sit in third place in Group A in the fourth round of AFC qualifying round, one point behind South Korea and Uzbekistan. Lebanon remains at the top of the table with five points.

Lebanese coach Theo Buecker has said that his team has no chance to beat Iran in its away game; however, Queiroz believes that Lebanon match can be dangerous for the Iranian team.

“We are an experienced team and must take the match seriously. These potential trap games could sink your team’s chances,” the Portuguese said.

“At the moment, we are just thinking about booking a place for Brazil. I and my players are concentrating on the match,” he added.

“I hope that our fans will come to Azadi Stadium to support us against Lebanon. We will wear white jerseys against Lebanon and I want the fans wear white,” Queiroz concluded.
