“I wanted to talk about an important thing after we beat Qatar last week but it didn’t happen. Now, I want to talk about devoted Omid Abbasi, who saved a girl and four other persons. I dedicate the victory to him and his family,” Shojaei, who will turn 29 on June 9, said in an interview with Gol sports daily on Monday.

“My dreams came true playing in Europe and Iran football team. I wish I was younger. I also wish to play in the 2014 World Cup,” Osasuna midfielder added.

Iran will play Lebanon on Tuesday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium. The Persians are third with 10 points, one point behind South Korea and Uzbekistan in Group A.
