Referee Ghahremani apologizes to Persepolis fans

Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Mohsen Ghahremani publicly apologized to the Persepolis fans admitting his mistake during Sepahan and Persepolis match.
The referee showed Meysam Hosseini a straight red card for a controversial foul on Sepahan defender Shoja Khalilzadeh just two minutes into the match.
He also awarded Sepahan a penalty and Hadi Aghili found the back of the net.
TV replays showed Ghahremani made a wrong decision.
“I apologize to the Persepolis fans because I made a wrong decision. I didn’t see what really happened in the penalty area,” Ghahremani told Iran’s state-run TV on Tuesday.
