Davari rival sidelined injured
Persianfootball.com – BRAUNSCHWEIG, Eintracht Braunschweig veteran goalkeeper Marjan Petkovic suffered a muscle injury in the 0-4 defeat to Vfb Stuttgart on Sunday and will be out of action for some weeks.
Braunschweig coach Torsten Lieberknecht has refused to decide on a fixed number one ahead of the Bundesliga season and has trusted Petkovic four times while young Iranian goalkeeper Daniel Davari started on three occassions.
Newly promoted Braunschweig is struggling this season having been eliminated in first round of German Cup before only collecting one point out of seven league matches.
Lieberknecht, who has steered Braunschweig to a sensational promotion to Bundesliga last season with a splendid Davari in goal, seems to be on the verge of resignation after his team, which has barely been strenghtened during the summer transfer window, has not lived up to the exepectations so far.
