Beitashour arrives in Tehran [PHOTOS]
Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, With the arrival of USA based Steven Beitashour, the last of the 28 players has eventually joined the national team camp in Tehran.
The eight legionnaires have now completed the 28-man squad to which young Saipa striker Sajjad Shabazzadeh had been added last week, although Sardar Azmoun temporarily joined the u-19 team for the Asian championship qualifiers.
Azmoun, however, had to be subbed out in Iran’s 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia’s u-19 and was rushed to the hospital with headache dizziness.
While fullback Beitashour participated in Saturday’s training session already, Mehrdad Pouladi is still absent from training and Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Khosro Heydari are also suffering from injuries.
But only the Persepolis left- and the Esteghlal rightback will most likely be unavailable for Iran’s Asian Cup qualifier versus Thailand on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Ashkan Dejagah’s calf injury seems to be history and the Fulham winger participated in the full team training since his arrival.
