Loading...Persianfootball.com – ZURICH, Iran, making it’s their fourth World Cup appearance, has been slotted in pot 3 alongside other AFC and the CONCACAF teams.
A team from each pot will be drawn to form a group. There will be eight groups in total and the draw to determine the groups will be made on Friday, December 6.
Due to pot 2 only consisting of seven teams and pot 4 of nine, a team from the latter pot will be drawn to fill in for the missing pot 2 team.
Therefore a group of death with two European powerhouses from pot 4 beside the top see is possible.
Pot 1: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Switzerland
Pot 2: Algeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Chile, Ecuador
Pot 3: Australia, Iran, Japan, Korea Republic, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, USA
Pot 4: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, England, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia
