Azmoun starts against table-toppers

Loading...Persianfootball.com – MOSCOW, Iranian teenage-talent Sardar Azmoun continues to impress in Russia’s Premier League.
The 18-year-old striker started for the second consecutive time in the league, this time in Rubin Kazan’s goalless draw against league leaders Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia’s capital.
Iran’s u-19 international had a solid display on the barely playable pitch and was subbed out for striking ace Rondon in second half, who again had to make space for Azmoun in the starting lineup.
Meanwhile Iranian goalkeeper Alireza Haghighi will return to Rubin during the winter break. Haghighi had been loaned out to Persepolis Tehran in order to gain match praxis, but after failing to win the number one position there while falling apart with coach Ali Daei, he will return to Rubin as third goalkeeper.
Third Iranian at Rubin soon could be 17-year-old midfielder Saeid Ezzatollahi, who has been approached by the Russian club after being observed during the u-17 World Cup in the UAE.
