Persianfootball.com – NIJMEGEN, Dutch football website fcupdate.nl named Iranian youngster Alireza Jahanbakhsh as one of the top 5 transfers of Dutch Eredivisie in summer.

According to the website, Alireza Jahanbakhsh was a young Iranian talent no one heard of until last summer, when he was picked by NEC Nijmegen.

Unlike other transfers from the Middle East, which included players like Meshal Mubarak Budawood to Feyenoord and Nashat Akram t0 FC Twente, Jahanbakhsh’s transfer from SC Damash to NEC was a big success.

Mubarak and Akram, although known on record as great talents, failed to establish themselves in the Eredivisie.

It is already clear that Jahanbakhsh will not end up in the list of failures from the Middle east, the website claims.

NEC gambled on this transfer but the gamble paid off and Jahanbakhsh is certainly one the best purchases last summer in the Eredivisie, “fcupdate” concludes.

Beside Jahanbakhsh, Steve de Ridder (FC Utrecht), Evander Sno (RKC Waalwijk), Lukas Piazón (Vitesse) and Kamohelo Mokotjo (PEC Zwolle) were named as golden transfers in the Dutch league.

The then 19-year-old winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh joined NEC Nijmegen from Damash Gilan in summer playing 16 matches for the Dutch club since then, scoring four goals.
