Mansourian resigns as u-22 coach
Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, According to the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA), Alireza Mansourian, Iran’s u-22 national football coach, has decided to resign due to the lack of support from Iran’s football federation (IFF).
Mansourian’s announcement came after his final u-22 camp on Kish Island and the defeat of South Korea’s u-22.
In a meeting with IFF today, Mansourian realized that IFF will not support his needs for Team Omid’s preparations for the upcoming 2014 u-22 Asian Cup and therefore he decided to leave.
Reportedly, Mansourian asked IFF to choose former Team Melli assistant coach and u-22 caretaker Human Afazeli as his replacement.
