Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, Two of Iran’s most promising up-and-comers, Mohsen Mosalman and Payam Sadeghian – who have spearheaded Persepolis’ climb to second place overall in the Persian Gulf League (PGL) – have been banned from being called up by Iran’s National Team after professional misconduct.

The two starlets are banned  indefinitely by the Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation (IRIFF) for smoking hookah during an Under-22 football camp in Kish, which both players were taking part in.

Although the ban is indefinite, it will run during the course of 2014 World Cup tournament, meaning that the two starlets will not be able to receive a 2014 World Cup call-up by coach Carlos Queiroz.

Both Reds players were having a fantastic season under Ali Daei, and with their blistering form were touted by many pundits to be on Querioz’s radar. The ban will not adversely affect their club duties, and they will be able to resume their training and match availability with the Tehran giants.
