Kafashian: Queiroz said he is getting old and has other offers too

Loading...Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, In an interview with Iranian media, Ali Kafashian the Iranian Football Federation (IFF) boss mentioned that he asked Carlos Queiroz to stay with Team Melli until World Cup 2018, But the Portuguese answered “he is getting old and has other offers too”.
Kafashian added, today Carlos will travel to Africa to watch two of the Nigeria’s football team matches and also talk to south Africa’s Football Federation in order to arrange friendly matches for Team Melli during their camp in South Africa.
After his African trip, IFF boss indicated, Iran’s national team coach will travel to Europe to find a suitable place for the camp which could be Turkey. Carlos will talk to some European countries of interest to arrange pointed friendly matches to take place either in Turkey and/or the country of the interest.
To avoid chaos in Iranian football similar to one accord after World Cup 2006, Kafashian asked Queiroz to stay with Team Melli until World Cup 2018, but Carlos knotted and said “he is getting old and has other offers too”.
However, the Portuguese said he will be happy to consider the IFF offer in future time and in Case he departs he will help IFF to find a suitable coach for Team Melli.
