Nekounam to wear No. 6 for Kuwait SC

Loading...Tehran Times – KUWAIT CITY, Iranian International midfielder Javad Nekounam will wear the No.6 shirt during his time with Kuwait SC.
Nekounam joined Kuwaiti football team last week on a four-month contract.
Esteghlal midfielder replaced Bahraini center back Hussain Ali Baba Mohamed in Kuwait SC.
Nekounam started his career as a midfielder at Tehran-based club Pas in 1998 before joining Al Wahda of the Emirates in 2005.
The 34-year-old player signed a deal with Osasuna in 2006 and played in the Spanish team for six years.
Nekounam will wear Iran’s armband in the 2014 World Cup, where the Persians are in Group F along with Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nigeria.
