Abbasfard scores on debut in Malaysia FA Cup

As reported by The Borneo Post, January 21, Stadium Negeri in Petra Jaya, Kuching, was the venue for the match between Sarawak and Penang.
After a scoreless first half, former Iranian national team player, Alireza Abbasfard who had a disappointing debut in Malaysia Super League, took the lead for Sarawak with a 75th minute goal on his debut in Malaysia FA Cup. This game went to extra time after Penang had equalized in 92nd minute, injury time goal from Mohd Baser Napae. However, the crocs came out winners with a 99th minute goal by former Sepahan and Shahrdari Tabriz player Milorad Janjuš.
According to New Sarawak Tribune, Sarawak’s next matches will be for the Super League, which will be on Saturday January 25 and Tuesday January 28, against Kelantan and Sime Darby respectively.
