Iman Mobali joins Esteghlal

Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Esteghlal Sanati midfielder Iman Mobali joined Esteghlal on Friday to help the team in the AFC Champions League.

Mobali was under contract with Esteghlal Sanati until April but the Ahvaz-based team’s officials agreed to terminate his contract.

Esteghlal has been drawn in Group A of the AFC Champions League along with Qatari Al Rayyan, Al Jazira of the UAE and Saudi Arabian Al Shabab.

The 31-year-old returns to his former club for a second stint, having previously joined the Blues in 2010.

Mobali has played 60 matches for Iran national team and scored two goals.
