Persepolis up to third place in Persian Gulf league (video)
Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, In the last day of the week 27 of the Iran’s premier league (IPL), Persepolis FC defeated Saba of Qum 3-1 on Friday February 21, 2014 at Azadi stadium.
Early in the first half minute (12) Abbaszadeh scored for Persepolis and later in minute (34) Noormohammadi doubled the score for reds ending the first half 2-0 for Persepolis.
In the second half each club scored one goal, Sadeghian (88) for reds and Enayati (90) for Saba, ending the match 3-1 in favor of Reds.
Today’s win and better goal difference ascends Persepolis from fifth to third place in IPL, giving hope to reds to finish in top three and a chance to play in AFC club championship next season.
Yesterday, Sepahan tied 0-0 with Mes, while Rah Ahan defeated Tractor 3-1 to take all the much needed 3 points to move away from relegation zone for now.
