Queiroz: “It would be an honor to extend my contract with Iran”

Loading...Fars News – TEHRAN, Iran National Team Manager Carlos Queiroz, when asked about the possibility of extending his contract beyond the 2014 World Cup, said: “For me personally it would be a great honor to extend my contract with Team Melli”.
Speaking to reporters at the unveiling of Team Melli’s new sponsor the Portuguese manager said that Iranian Football Federation president Ali Kafashian is the only one that can answer the question of whether or not his contract will be extended.
On Iranian Football he continued “My personal belief is that Iran’s current potential is very high and Iranian football resembles a sleeping giant that is faced with the challenge of waking from this sleep. Football is in the blood and hearts of the people and it is unfortunate that only 20% of this potential has been reached”.
