Bosnia’s Susic: Egypt is not a test for Iran [VIDEO]

Persianfootball.com – SARAJEVO/INNSBRUCK, The head coach of the Bosnian football national team, Safet Susic stressed that the friendly against Egypt is not meant to be a test for the upcoming World Cup match against Iran in June.

In an interview with a Bosnian sports website, Susic mentioned that the decision to play the African powerhouse Egypt has not the aim to simulate a possible performance of the Iranian football national team.

Furthermore the former Yugoslavian national team player and current successor of former Iran coach Miroslav Blazevic mentioned that he is not a supporter of so called friendlies with teams which have a similar playing style as every team has its own way to play football.

“We only searched for a strong opponent and Egypt has always been one of the best African teams”, Susic said.

Bosnia & Herzegovina suffered a rather unexpected 0-2 defeat against the Egyptian national team in Innsbruck/Austria on Wednesday evening.

Argentina was also held by Romania to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening while Mexico and Nigeria played each other in an entertaining 0-0 draw.

Bosnia & Herzegovina, Argentina, Nigeria and Iran were drawn in Group F.  At the beginning Bosnia & Herzegovina will face Argentina in Rio de Janeiro on June 15th whereas Iran will play Nigeria in Curitiba on June 16th.
