IFF president Kaffashian meets Portuguese ambassador

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Portuguese Ambassador to Iran, Mario Fernando Nunes, met with president of Iran Football Federation (IFF) Ali Kaffashian on Tuesday.

During the meeting held in Tehran, Fernando Nunes and Kaffashian explored avenues for the further expansion of bilateral relations between Iranian and Portugese football federations.

“It was a good meeting and we talked about more cooperation in sport. As you know, at the moment, several Portuguese coaches are working in Iran. Portugal is emerging as a forerunner country in the sport,” Kaffashian said.

“We are going to pave the way to expand our football,” Kaffashian underlined.
