Persian nations strengthen ties in Football
Persianfootball.com – DUSHANBE, Last week on Friday 28 February, Ali Kafashian was guest to Rustam Emomali, the two heads of football federations of Persian-speaking nations of Iran and Tajikistan signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The signed document will ensure strengthen of bilateral ties between the two federations, these will include joint seminars, symposia and conferences, matches between teams at various age levels. In addition there will also be knowledge transfer and cooperation with regards to football education, scientific and methodological support of the training process, and joint training at youth level.
Rustam Emomali had acknowledged that Iran is a powerhouse in Asian football and participant at FIFA World Cups, the cooperation with Iran will ensure further development of football in the Central Asian nation. Symbolically, the memorandum was signed this year, which has been announced in Tajikistan as “year of grassroots football“.
Kafashian thanked his Tajik counterpart for friendly atmosphere and warm hospitality in Dushanbe. He also expressed hope of effective cooperation in the field of football between the two brotherly nations.
At the conclusion of the meeting the two heads exchanged gifts.
