Persianfootball.com – ZURICH, The latest FIFA World ranking released today still shows Iran as the highest ranked AFC member despite Team Melli’s defeat to Guinea last week.

 
Iran(42) still on top of rankings in AFC zone, Japan(48) is second, Uzbekistan(55) overtook South Korea(60) to take third place. While UAE(61) in fifth ahead of Australia(63).

For the first time, now all Persian speaking members are amongst the top 20 of AFC Zone. Tajikistan(121) with a zone ranking of 16, while Afghanistan(127) at 18th place. Both are ahead of likes of North Korea, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Syria and Indonesia to mention a few.

2014 FIFA World Cup fellow Group F members rankings are as follow: Argentina(3), Bosnia-Herzegovina(21) and Nigeria(47).

Also there were no changes in top 5, Spain(1), Germany(2), Portugal(4), Colombia(5). However Uruguay climbed to 6th.
