Dejagah’s winning goal keeps Fulham Premiership chances alive

Persianfootball.com – LONDON, Ashkan Dejagah, who was reported to be battling groin and hamstring issues, scored the winner for the regulation-bound Whites to keep their chances to stay in the premiership alive.

The feisty Iranian winger who replaced Pajtim Kasam at the hour mark, was able to outwit Tim Krul with a low dipping shot that beat  the Newcastle United keeper. It was his third premier goal of the season and the second under former Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath.

The 1-0 score line helped Fulham earn their first win under new German coach, Felix Magath, who is known as a strict disciplinary. Magath has been trusted to change the fortunes of the London-based club and the Craven Cottage hopeful are expecting a short turnaround as the final quarter of the Barclay’s Premier League season is under way. The World Cup-bound winger was in some obvious discomfort and was holding his groin area and was replaced shortly before the final whistle. It is not known how serious the injury is but in a hopeful sign, Dejagah stayed on the bench till the final whistle and was able to celebrate the victory with his teammates.

Bottom-dwelling Fulham now trail both 18^th place Sunderland and 19^th place Cardiff City by one point.
