Mojtaba Jabbari retires from Iran football team – report

Tehran Times – DOHA, Iran midfielder Mojtaba Jabbari has retired from international football, according to a report in the Iranian sports newspaper Khabar Varzeshi.

Al Ahli of Qatar midfielder is not going to continue his playing career in the national team, however he played a big role at Iran’s last three qualifiers against Qatar, Lebanon and South Korea.

Media reports suggest that he is worried about his knee. Jabbari has suffered several injuries during the past years.

Former Esteghlal midfielder has played 31 times for Iran football team and scored three goals.
