ACL matches create chaos at Team Camp

Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, According to ISNA, due to upcoming Asian Champions League (ACL) matches Esteghlal and Sepahan did not allow their invited Team Melli players to show up at the camp and as a result Carlos Queiroz has also sent Foolad and Tractor players back to their clubs to play in ACL.

By sending the Foolad and Tractor player back to their clubs, Queiroz has created ambiguity in holding the Team Melli camp in South Africa.

In the other hand, Kafashian the IFF boss threatened that according to FIFA rules abovementioned clubs can lose three points and get banned from various competitions.

ISNA newly released news indicated that although many Team Melli players are absent, the South African camp may go on with Sepehan and Esteghlal players join the camp right after their ACL matches this Tuesday and Wednesday.

So far, the only players attending the camp are those selected from Persepolis, Naft Tehran and Zob Ahan, while those of Sepahan, Esteghlal, Tractor and Foolad are supposed to join after their ACL matches.

Note that, Team Melli’s European based players are exempt from showing up at South African camp, while the home based clubs are under considerable pressure to release their much needed players at national team service.

It is this kind of inconsistent decisions that generates chaotic situation in Team Melli’s World Cup preparations.

However, the latest ISNA news indicates, Team Melli will travel to south Africa this morning at 5:00 AM Tehran time without Esteghlal, Sepahan, Foolad and Tractor players. These players will travel to South Africa After their ACL matches as reported above.
