Persianfootball.com – JOHANNESBURG, Following the cancellation of the planned Mozambique friendly, Iran’s national team announced two further test matches against South African clubs.

Team Melli will face current South African league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday, April 29 before taking on sixth placed Mpumalanga Black Aces two days later.

Iran already had beaten the Moroka Swallows 5-0 and drawn the Orlando Pirates 3-3 in friendlies last week.

Meanwhile two Sepahan players were also called up to join during the final week of the camp. Besides the already present Rahman Ahmadi, Ehsan Hajsafi and Mehdi Sharifi took the plane to South Africa.

However, Shoja Khalilzadeh, Omid Ebrahimi and Yaghoub Karimi, who initially had been called up but had been dropped after Sepahan had refused to release their players, did not get a second chance.

The national team will return to Tehran on May 2 to continue their World Cup preparations there before holding the second of three training camps in Austria from May 12.
