Persianfootball.com – JOHANNESBURG, Iran’s national team concluded the more than two weeks long training camp in South Africa with a 2-0 test match win over the Mpumalanga Black Aces on Thursday.

Second half goals from defender Ahmad Alenemeh and striker Karim Ansarifard gave Iran a 2-0 win, one day before the team will return to Tehran.

Ansarifard scored his third goal in the fourth match, thereby being the top scorer of the South African camp during which Iran also defeated the Moroka Swallows 5-0, drew the Orlando Pirates 3-3 and lost to the Mamelodi Sundowns 0-1.

While the players will fly back to Iran’s capital, Carlos Queiroz will remain in South Africa for a week of vacation before joining the rest of the coaching staff in Austria, who will not travel to Tehran with the players but instead prepare the second of three camps there.

The camp will start on May 12 and include friendly matches versus Belarus (Kapfenberg, May 18), Montenegro (Hartberg, May 27) and Angola (Hartberg, May 30).

A final training camp including a dress rehearsal versus Trinidad & Tobago will be held in Brazil in June.
