Fulham relegated, Braunschweig still hopeful despite loss
Persianfootball.com – LONDON, The relegation of Fulham FC from the Premier League became bitter truth after the 1-4 defeat in the hands of Stoke City on Saturday.
With one round to play, Fulham can no longer avoid relegation and will play in the Champiosnship next season.
Iranian international Ashkan Dejagah came on as early sub after 33 minutes already and created Fulham’s lone goal in second half with a cross, but also couldn’t prevent the disastrous ending to a horrible season.
In Germany, Eintracht Braunschweig suffered a bitter 0-1 defeat to Augsburg due to an injury time goal.
But Braunschweig still have the chance to win a playoff slot and avoid direct relegation on the final matchday next week thanks to Hamburg and Nuremberg also losing.
Daniel Davari had a solid game with some good saves and only one insecurity. The Iranian international goalkeeper had no chance to stop the counter goal in minute 94.
Meanwhile Charlton Athletic, without Reza Ghoochannejhad, ended the Championship season with a 3-0 win after they had already won the fight against relegation last week.
