Keshi: Argentina not important, Iran on the line
Nigeriafootball.com – ABUJA, Stephen Keshi said that he is not focusing currently on the match against Argentina – according to The Big Boss much more important right now is the opener against Iran.
Keshi is sure that a good start of the World Cup tournament will open an occasion to seal the advance to the Round of 16.
“The Argentina game is not important right now,” Keshi said quoted by kickoffnigeria.com.
“The most important game is against Iran and when I finish playing against Iran and Bosnia then I can have an answer to that.” he said.
Also Keshi declined that Austin Ejide suffered an injury… according to the coach none such happening took place.
“Ahmed Musa had a minor injury and l spoke to the club doctor who said in two or three weeks he would be fine.
“Musa played in the last minutes for his Russian club in a league game. I called Oduamadi and he dismissed the report of his injury. In fact he told that he had a match that same day, so I don’t know where all these rumours emanated from.
“But we will assess everyone very well when they come for the training camp.”
Nigeria still has some tune-up games to play before the opening of the World Cup – in eight days Nigeria will play Scotland, July 3rd Keshi’s men will take on Greece and four days later USA will be the rival.
