Ali Karimi hangs his boots

Loading...Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, Ali Karimi the Iranian superstar announced his retirement from football at age 36, while having several offers from Iran’s premier league clubs.
In a farewell note he said “It is always sad and a hard task to separate from the love that holds the fabric of your existence”.
“I am in a position where I have no alternatives but to leave the scene and my decision is final and irreversible” said Karimi.
“I thank all those who helped me and my dreams to come through and because of discovering me when I was playing on the streets as a kid”, said the Team Melli star.
He added, “Now that I am retired, I will continue as a fanatical Persepolis and Team Melli fan.”
