Tehran Times – DOHA, Iran international midfielder Ashkan Dejagah is just one step away from joining the Qatari club Al Arabi, according to Arab media sources.

Dejagah recently had a meeting with the club’s coach, Sami Al Jaber, and the 28-year-old is expected to take a medical test in the next few days.

The deal is reportedly worth £5 million.

Dejagah still has one year left on his current contract with Fulham, but since the London-based team was relegated, he has not been eager to stay with them.

It was reported that Premier League side West Bromwich Albion is also keen on the Iranian international, and it seems that Fulham manager Felix Magath is considering selling Dejagah to strengthen his squad in order to bring it back to the Premier League.

Dejagah joined Fulham from the German side VfL Wolfsburg at the start of the 2012-13 season and made an impression at the Cottagers in his two seasons at the club.
