Persepolis held, Sepahan goes top

Loading...Tasnim – TEHRAN, Persepolis football team drew 1-1 with Naft in the opening week of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
In the match held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Persepolis midfielder Payam Sadeghian was on target in the 11th minute and Gholamreza Rezaei equalized the match 15 minutes later.
Naft defender Mohammad Amin Hajmohammadi was sent off in the 87th minute and Mehrdad Kafshgari of Persepolis was shown a second yellow card in the added time.
In Isfahan, Sepahan defeated Paykan 2-0.
Vouria Ghafouri scored in the 29th minute and Xhevahir Sukaj extended Sepahan’s lead in the 79th minute.
Sepahan moved to the top of IPL table on goal difference.
Elsewhere, Padideh and Malavan played out a goalless draw, Esteghlal Khuzestan was held to a 1-1 draw against Gostaresh and Saipa drew 0-0 with Naft Masjed Soleyman.
