Sepahan loses to Naft in IPL, Esteghlal wins
Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran Professional League (IPL) leader Sepahan lost to Naft 3-0 here on Tuesday.
Naft Brazilian defender Leandro Padovani was on target in the 33rd minute.
Just a minute before the halftime, Sepahan defender Hossein Moradmand was shown a straight red card by referee.
Kamal Kamyabinia scored Naft’s second goal in the 45th minute and Ali Ghorbani made it 3-0 in the 67th minute in Tehran’s Takhti Stadium.
Esteghlal defeated Saipa 3-2 at the Azadi Stadium.
Ebrahim Shakouri scored for the visiting team in the 6th minute and Karrar Jassim equalized the match in the 33rd minute.
After three minutes into the second half, Hamed Shiri scored for Saipa from the penalty spot but Omid Ebrahimi scored Esteghlal’s second goal.
In the dying moments of the match, Ebrahimi scored once again to seal a late 3-2 victory for Esteghlal.
Elsewhere, Gostaresh edged Paykan, Padided defeated Tractor Sazi 1-0, Zob Ahan drew Rah Ahan 2-2 at home, Saba defeated Naft Masjed Soleyman 2-0 and Foolad beat Esteghlal Khuzestan 1-0 in Ahvaz derby.
