Persepolis held by Padideh in Iran Professional League

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Persepolis of Tehran football team was held to a 1-1 draw in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Monday evening.

Milad Gharibi gave the visiting team Padideh a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute.

Persepolis put Padideh under pressure in the second half and created several opportunities.

In the 75th minute, Omid Alishah was brought down in the penalty area by Padideh defender and referee Alireza Faghani showed the penalty spot.

Mohammad Abbaszadeh converted the penalty with a left footed shot to the bottom left corner.

The draw leaves Persepolis, who could have gone top with a victory, in 12th place in the league.

Elsewhere, Rah Ahan edged Malavan in Tehran thanks to a Mohammad Gholami’s 6th goal.
