Persepolis held by Gostaresh Foolad in Iran Professional League

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Gostaresh Foolad came back from a two-goal deficit to draw Persepolis in the Iran Professional League (IPL) here on Thursday.

Mohsen Bengar found the back of the net with a header in the 8th minute and Mehdi Taromi made it 2-0 in the 30th minute.

Brazilian midfielder Magno Batista pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 38th minute and Milad Jahani equalized the match in the 72nd minute.

Persepolis Costa Rican defender Michael Umana missed a penalty kick in the 88th minute.

Elsewhere, Sepahan edged Naft of Masjed Soleyman thanks to a goal from Mohammad Reza Khalatbari and provisionally moved up to second place in IPL table.

Paykan and Rah Ahan played out a goalless draw too.
