Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, Carlos Queiroz named a 26-man squad for the upcoming training camp in Tehran and the friendly match against South Korea.

The game on November 18 will be the first official match of Team Melli after the World Cup. However, Iran defeated Estoril and Benfica in a test matches last month.

The squad doesn’t include any major surprises. Injured Steven Beitashour, benched Daniel Davari and – due to military services issues – suspended Mehrdad Pouladi and Hossein Mahini are missing on the list.

Queiroz’s luxury problems in attack probably cost Sepahan duo Mehdi Sharifi and Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari spots in the roster.

New in the squad are 31-year-old left-back Habib Gordani and 21-year-old left-winer Shahin Saghebi, both from Tractor Sazi.

Sepahan right-back Vouria Ghafouri (27), Naft Tehran defensive allrounder Morteza Pouraliganji (22) and Foolad midfield duo Ahmad Abdollahzadeh (21) and Soroush Rafiei (24) have been recalled after impressing during the Portugal camp.
