Iran finishes 4th in the Beach Soccer Cup 2014

Loading...Persianfootball.com, DUBAI – Iran were defeated by Portugal 3-0 in the third place match bringing their participation in the 2014 Samsung Intercontinental Cup to a close.
Champions of the 2013 edition, Iran lost to Portugal 4-3, followed by wins against UAE and Morocco 2-1 and 5-0 respectively to end the group stage in second-place.
Iran faced last years finalists Russia in the Semi-finals and failed to take advantage of a late surge of goals to end up losing 4-3.
Team Melli then faced Portugal again for the 3rd place match which they lost 3-0.
Brazil claimed their first ever Intercontinental trophy when they defeated Russia in the final game 3-2 after extra time.
