Naft into Iran’s Hazfi Cup final

Loading...Tehran Times – MASHAD, Naft football team advanced to the Iran’s Hazfi Cup final after defeating Padideh on Saturday.
Morteza Pouraliganji gave the visiting team a lead in the 23rd minute in Mashhad’s Samenolaeme Stadium but Padideh striker Younes Shakeri equalized the match in the 71st minute.
Naft won the shootout 8-7 after the match ended 1-1 following extra time.
“I am happy to win the game because we are a young team. I also thank our goalkeeper since he made a number of good saves against Padideh,” Naft coach Alireza Mansourian said in the post match news conference.
Naft will play Zob Ahan on May 22, 2015.
