Tasnim – SYDNEY, The Iranian national football team (also known as Team Melli) will meet Iraq in a friendly match on Sunday.
The match will be Iran’s last friendly prior to the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, where Team Melli has been drawn in Group C along with Bahrain, the UAE and Qatar.
Iran and Iraq have played 23 times each other, with Iran winning 13 times, Iran taking four victories and six matches ending in a draw.
