Tasnim – TEHRAN, Debutant Naft of Tehran was defeated by Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor in Group B of the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.

In the match held in Tashkent, the Iranian football team lost to Pakhtakor 2-1.

Kakhi Makharadze found the back of the net with a header in the 48th minute.

Pakhtakor was reduced to 10 men in the 51st minute after Sherzod Karimov was shown a red card.

Eight minutes later Ali Ghorbani equalized the match with a left-footed shot.

With five minutes remaining, Igor Sergeev scored the winner for Pakhtakor.
