Esteghlal Moves Provisionally Top of Iran Professional League

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Reza Enayati scored as Esteghlal beat Naft Masjed Soleyman to move provisionally top of the Iran Professional League (IPL).

On Friday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, veteran Enayati scored the only goal of the match just after the hour mark.

Esteghlal moved top of the IPL, two points clear of Naft Tehran.

Elsewhere, Sepahan missed a chance to go top of the table, losing to Malavan 1-0 in Bandar Anzali.

Padideh was held to a 1-1 draw by Esteghlal Khuzestan, Saba edged past struggling Rah Ahan and Zob Ahan humiliated Saipa 4-1 in Isfahan.

On Sunday, Naft Tehran will host Gostaresh Foolad, Tractor Sazi will play Persepolis and Foolad will meet Paykan.
