Iran moves down one place in FIFA rankings

Loading...Tehran Times – ZURICH, Iran moved down one place in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday by the world football governing body.
Iran is now placed at position 42nd, one spot down from position 41st that it held last month.
Team Iran is still Asia’s No.1 followed by Japan, South Korea and Australia.
The Iranian football team has been scheduled to play Chile in Austria on March 26 and face Sweden on March 31 at the Friends Arena in Gutenberg, Sweden.
World Cup-winner Germany remained at the pinnacle of the rankings, based on results over the last four years, with Argentina, Colombia, Belgium and the Netherlands behind it.
The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on 9 April 2015.
