Carlos Queiroz Leaves Praise For Chile

Record – ST. POLTEN, Iran Coach recognizes the quality Chile possesses prior to his squad facing off with them in their first friendly match since exiting the Asian Cup tournament earlier in the year.

Carlos Queiroz is leaving the selection of Iran but will remain to supervise his squad against Chile (tomorrow) and Sweden (Tuesday).

The Portuguese coach warned of the quality available to Chilean coach Jorge Sampaoli.

“.. Chile is a strong opponent. This game is a privilege and, contrary to what many think, Chile is not only Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sánchez, they are much more than that,” warned the Portuguese coach. He added, “They were one of the best teams in 2014 World Cup finals. The strongest qualities they have is their ability to play as a collective unit and the ability to destroy and build-up the game effectively.”
