Tasnim – GLASGOW, Celtic football club will compete with Norwich, Anderlecht and Standard Liege in Belgium plus Dutch clubs Groningen and Heerenveen to sign Nijmegen Iranian winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

According to De Gelderlander newspaper, Nijmegen has accepted that Jahanbakhsh will leave and slapped a €2 million (around £1.5 million) price tag on the winger.

Jahanbakhsh was a member of the Iran football team in the 2014 World Cup and the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

He has made 15 appearances for Team Melli, scoring once, and can operate on the left or right wing.

On 26 May 2013, Jahanbakhsh reached an agreement with Dutch Eredivisie outfit NEC for a three-year deal. He has played 54 times for the team and scored 17 goals.
