Carlos Queiroz likely to leave Iran, top official says
Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran Football Federation president Ali Kafashian believes that Carlos Queiroz will likely leave Iran job.
The Portuguese coach has a 15 percent chance of staying.
“Queiroz has extended his contract with Iran for more four years five months ago. If he quits it will be a huge blow for us because we plan to qualify for the 2018 World Cup with him. I asked his translator to tell us if he wants to stay or not but we have not received any response,” Kafashian told reporters.
“If we want to sack him we have to pay one year of his salary but if he wants to quit then he should pay three month of his salary,” IFF President added.
“If you ask me about his future I will say he will most likely leave Iran job, something about 85%,” Kafashian added.
