Loading...Tasnim – RIYADH, Foolad of Khuzestan football team coach Dragan Skocic believes that his team was not strong enough to beat Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia.
The 2014 AFC Champions League finalist Al Hilal handed his team a 2-0 defeat in Group C of the 2015 campaign on Wednesday.
“We lost the match tonight because of a simple reason: Al Hilal was the better side,” the Croatian coach told the-afc.
“We came here without several of our players and it was really difficult for us to play against a strong team who took advantage of playing at home and in front of their fans,” Skocic added.
“We could have scored in the first half and things could have been different. Al Hilal’s goal in the first minute of the second half affected us mentally as it was quick while the second goal came from a mistake and it ended our chance to make a comeback,” Skocic said.
