Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Head of Iran Football Federation (IFF) Ali Kafashian says that Carlos Queiroz has accepted to stay as Team Iran coach.

The Portuguese coach had already announced his resignation from Iran football team at the end of the friendly match between Sweden and Iran football team.

Afterwards, the two parties negotiated in the previous days and Kafashian said Queiroz will stay in his role.

“Carlos Queiroz has accepted to continue his job but it depends on us to provide the facilities. We have to be committed to providing the training camps and arranging friendly matches. He is worried about financial issues and facilities,” Kafashian said.

Queiroz, a former Manchester United assistant coach, had signed a contract extension in September committing himself to the job until the 2018 World Cup.
