No choice but to defeat Nasaf, Iran’s Tractor Sazi coach says
Tasnim – TABRIZ, Iran’s Tractor Sazi head coach Toni Oliveira said they must defeat Nasaf Qarshi to keep alive their chances of advancing to the AFC Champions League next round.
The Iranian team is fourth in Group D with four points, four points behind leader Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia.
Tractor Sazi will host the Uzbek team in Tabriz’s Yadegar-e Emam Stadium. It has lost to Nasaf 2-1 in late February.
“We have a difficult match but I believe that all the teams in the group still have a chance to advance to the next stage,” Oliveira said in the pre-match news conference.
“Tractor has a chance to qualify for the next stage,” he said, adding, “But we have to accept Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli and Al Ahli of the UAE have more chances since they are well-organized teams.”
“We should put more effort to achieve our goal. I think we can advance to the next stage as the second team,” the Portuguese coach added.
