Former Iran, Persepolis Goalkeeper Passes Away

Loading...Tasnim – MUNICH, Former Iranian and Persepolis goalkeeper Aziz Asli has died at the age of 77.
Asli died at a hospital in Munich, Germany on Thursday.
Asli started his career with Daraei in the Iranian football in 1949 and joined Persepolis in 1955.
The goalkeeper was also a member of the Iranian football team who won the Asian Cup in 1968 in Tehran.
Asli made his Iran debut in Tehran’s Amjadieh Stadium on the 1st of June 1962 against Iraq in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Asli was also a painter and actor who participated in many films before the Iranian Islamic Revolution.
