All set for super IPL final on Friday

Loading...Persianfootball.com – TABRIZ, The stage is set for the probably most exciting season final of the Iranian Pro League (IPL on Friday).
Table-toppers Tractorsazi Tabriz are only ahead of Naft Tehran on goal-difference and the two sides will meet in Tabriz on the final matchday (19:30 local time).
While a draw against Alireza Mansourian’s men would be enough in the direct duel for Portuguese Toni’s team, third placed Sepahan, only trailing the duo by a point, will force either side to aim for the three points in the show-down.
Hossein Faraki and Sepahan will host Saipa and will certainly want to comfort themselves with the second place, which means direct qualification for the 2016 AFC Champions League instead of the playoff spot the third placed team will receive.
No less exciting is the fight against relegation between Paykan, Esteghlal Khuzestan, Malavan and Rah Ahan.
With Naft Masjed Soleyman already relegated, Paykan currently occupy the second direct relegation spot with 25 points, whereas Esteghlal Khuzestan are in 14th position with 26 points, which would put them in the two-legged promotion/relegation playoff.
Malavan (27 points) and and Rah Ahan (28) both will play at home versus teams with nothing to play for, while Esteghlal Khuzestan will host Paykan in the direct relegation duel.
Icing on the cake will be the big Tehran derby, where ninth placed Persepolis and sixth placed Esteghlal will meet in a packed Azadi stadium with no less than pride at the stakes at 17:00 Tehran time already.
