Loading...Tasnim – TEHRAN, Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic said that they will play Al Hilal as the most decorated Saudi Arabian football team.
Persepolis will host two-time champion Al Hilal in AFC Champions League Round of 16 on Tuesday.
The match will be held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
“We will have our toughest match against Al Hilal on Tuesday. They have not won their domestic league but have shown good performances in the AFC Champions League,” Branko said in the pre-match news conference.
“Al Hilal had to win the title in the AFC Champions League last season. It has won 50 trophies so far. They have quality players and could win the title in the current season as well,” former Al-Ettifaq coach added.
“We were in the toughest group alongside the Saudi Arabian champions, Qatari champion and the best team in Uzbekistan,” said Branko Ivankovic.
“We have the same chance against Al Hilal, who I believe are a better team than Al Nassr. I’m completely satisfied with my players’ performances so far and I’m proud of them,” the Croat added.
