Al Ahli Signs Iranian Defender Pejman Montazeri

Loading...Tehran Times – DOHA, Iranian international defender Pejman Montazeri joined Qatari club Al Ahli from Umm Salal on a two-year contract.
Montazeri who received two offers from Al Gharafa and Al Ahli chose the latter to play alongside his compatriot Mojtaba Jabbari.
Al Ahli coach Zlatko Kranjcar released former Persepolis defender Jalal Hosseini but hired another Iranian Pejman Montazeri as his successor.
Montazeri scored two goals in his 39 appearances for Umm Salal during his 1 and a half year tenure at the Qatari club.
The 31-year old defender played full 90 minutes in all three matches for Team Melli, where Iran eliminated in the group stage. However, he missed 2015 AFC Asian Cup due to injury.
